House of Sand and Fog Director Goes To Court

One of my all time favorite films House of Sand and Fog was directed by a man named Vadim Perelman. Well Perelman has got himself into a little problem involving sexual harassment. Perelman went to court this past Monday in Norwalk, Connecticut after he had charges brought up against him. The charges made stated Perelman groped two women and punched another woman at a nightclub in South Norwalk on July 22, 2006. In court, Perelman asked for a probation which will allow him to move through the process at a faster pace than most normal probations and according to the court if he successfully completes this probation he will not have any kind of criminal record. At this time, Perelman is in deep trouble has he faces three major charges, the first is a third degree assault charge and the other two are fourth degree sexual assault charges. Perelman’s attorney spoke on his behalf and stated that Vadim never wanted to hurt anyone at the nightclub however he did not actually explain why the incident happened. The court case is currently on hold until October 16,2006.
