Jarvis does it for charity

Been to your local Oxfam lately? You'll be queueing up to get in soon if your local shop's in London, because a load of great acts are going to playing gigs in there among the clothes and bric-a-brac (yeah, we're not sure what that is either).
The gigs, which are naturally to raise funds for the charity, are set to include Jarvis Cocker, Fatboy Slim, Jamelia, Hot Chip, Killa Kela and DJ Bobby Friction. There'll also be badges on sale designed by the Kaiser Chiefs, the Chemical Brothers and Hard-Fi. We bet Hard-Fi's don't have anything on them, because they don't believe in art anymore, or something.
The event's going under the banner of Oxjam, which makes us think of Marmite but we are weird like that, and it's hoped a million quid will be raised. As well as the London shows there will be national happenings in 12 cities. We imagine the gigs might be quite popular, although maybe not as popular as that Led Zeppelin gig we told you about – 25 million people tried to get tickets, and crashed the whole internet (well OK, just the O2 site).
