Kaiser Chiefs to Win?

Kaiser Chiefs are the favourites to win this years Mercury Prize Award.
However Kaiser Chiefs face very tough competition from ColdPlay, KT Tunstall, The Magic Numbers and Bloc Party.
The Mecury Prize award is like the Oscars in the Music Industry.
It is a great achievment to win the award and past winners include Ms.Dynamite, Dizzee Rascal and Franz Ferdinand.
The Rock band formed in 2003 in Leeds. Their Lead singer is Ricky Wilson.
Kaiser Chiefs first single was "Oh My God" which only made it to number 66 in the charts!
But after a very sucessful time supporting Franz Ferdinand and also blistering performances at the Summers biggest festivals like Glastonbury and T in the Park, they have really put their name across the Rock Industry.
They've had big hits with "Everyday I love you less and less" and "I predict a Riot".
The band has been compared to The Jam and Franz Ferdinand by NME magazine.
The band seem so confident about winning th eaward they put a £2 bet on themselves at a local Betting Office.
On hearing about the nominations lead singer Ricky said;
"Being the favourites is exciting, although it doesn't mean we're going to win it".
Do Kaiser Chiefs deserve to win ?
