Kevin Spacey's Acting Career

Another one of my favorite actors has to be Kevin Spacey who is usually great in anything he does from his award winning role in American Beauty to K-Pax he is just an amazing actor. Kevin Spacey has now admitted that his career peaked when he won the Oscar for his performance as Lester Burnham in American Beauty back in 2000. But now the still talented actor (at least in my book) is dedicating himself to help others become better since 2000. Spacey unlike most actors knows that once you win an award its hard to be that good ever again unless your Tom Hanks of course. But Spacey rather do other things with his career and has thrown himself into doing projects like his artistic directorship of London’s Old Vic theatre. In a recent interview, Spacey talks about his career and states, “As far as I'm concerned, when I looked at what happened in my career in 2000 after American Beauty I thought it couldn't get much better. What was I going to spend the rest of my life doing? Trying to top myself? Trying to stay hot, trying to make sure I was in the right movies? I don't give a shit. I'm trying to do something with my success which is bigger than myself. I'm no longer interested in my personal career. I am interested in the impact I can have on a lot of other people's careers and on audiences."
