Last time it was comedian Catherine Tate running around the Tardis – this year superstar Kylie Minogue will be the guest star of the Doctor Who Christmas special.
The storyline for ‘Voyage of the Damned’ will follow from the end of series three where the Titanic and the Tardis had a bit of a run-in. Kylie is starting filming on the episode this month in windswept Wales. The singer says it’s "an incredible thrill to be joining David and the entire Dr Who production for this year's Christmas special. Dr Who enjoys a unique history and it is going to be very exciting to be a part of that."
Russell T Davies, writer of the episode and executive producer of the show, says the team are “delighted and excited to announce that Kylie Minogue will be joining the Doctor. Doctor Who Christmas specials are always a joy and we feel very confident that this will be the most ambitious and best Christmas episode yet."
