It might go hand in hand with fame, but no one wants a stalker – so Chester Bennington of Linkin Park will be pleased that the woman who’s been pursuing him has admitted her crimes.
28-year-old Devon Townsend, an ex-laboratory worker, used US government computers to get at Chester’s personal info, and managed to hack into his email and voicemail to get her hands on images and messages. She also threatened Chester’s wife on the phone.
Townsend said that she’d seen Bennington family photos and details about a house they’d bought, as well as reading messages between the band’s record company and lawyer. She admitted to travelling to Arizona when she found out Chester was there, and trying to track him down by monitoring his voicemails.
She could be jailed for her offences when she is sentenced.
