Michael Keaton Speaks Up About Baseball
Michael Keaton who will always been known as Batman in my eyes, has really upset the leaders of the baseball team, the Pittsburgh Pirates this week. Keaton has been telling the team owners how to run the club. Keaton attended one of the team’s games on Monday where he yelled at the owners for not spending money on top class players. Apparently the Pittsburgh Pirates are a really bad team and the team’s payroll shows it which is the fourth lowest in all the major leagues. Keaton says that the fans have been to gracious and at some point the owners of the team have to make the Pirates a winning team again. Keaton also states that the club owners are taking advantage of the good will of the people who continue to show their support of the team. For my money, that’s disrespectful states Keaton.
Although I feel this is none of Michael Keaton’s business I do see a point from what he is saying. You don’t want to keep taking advantage of a situation and never give anything back. Baseball owners shouldn’t want their team to suck but rather have them succeed. So while I don’t think Keaton has any knowledge of running a baseball team, I still agree that the owners should be doing more to show their fans as well as the team members their support.
