Nicole goes it alone

She’s the one everyone remembers in the Pussycat Dolls (and the one that can sing), so it’s no wonder that Nicole Scherzinger is stepping out on her own with a solo LP.
Nicole’s debut solo album Her Name Is Nicole (just in case we thought it was Gertrude) was recorded at the same time as sessions for the new Pussycat Dolls album. The first single is going to be Whatever U Like, featuring the rapper T.I who you might know from his slinky bit in the middle of Justin Timberlake’s My Love.
Other cameos on the album are likely to be from such shrinking violets as Black Eyed Peas mainman Will I Am and everywhere-you-look-guy Timbaland, who’s already collaborated with the Dolls.
But the good news – or bad, depending on your view – is that Nicole won’t be leaving the massively successful Pussycat Dolls. Although we reckon she might do a bit of a Beyonce and eventually leave it all behind… in which case we predict 1.5 of the remaining Dolls will have successful solo careers.
