Paris Hilton Gets into a Car Accident

Well Paris Hilton has pretty much disappeared from the Hollywood spotlight after Nicole Richie and herself ended their long-term friendship. Hilton was first recognized for the notorious sex tape entitled “One Night In Paris” and then for the Fox reality tv series “The Simple Life” which stared both Paris and Nicole. Now, Paris Hilton has been working on movies and has pretty much disappeared from Hollywood Spotlight. Although Paris may not seem to be as big as she was about a year ago, the paparazzi still love her which brings me to what happened to her on Thursday.
Hilton was in a car parking lot in Los Angeles on Thursday when she hit a park car as she was trying to flea from the paparazzi. Hilton blames the paparazzi for quote on quote disorientating her before the incident occurred. Hilton was caught on video by a cameraman leaving the scene of the accident without leaving behind a way for the person she hit to contact her. This violation in the state of California can result in a hefty fine or up to six months in jail. Hilton insists that as she was leaving the car park that she notified an employee about what happened and left her contact details for the employee to hand to the person who drove the hit car.
Hilton's publicist Elliot Mintz spoke about the incident and said, "Did she commit a crime? No. She was swarmed by paparazzi .The intensity of the lights, flashbulbs, momentarily disoriented her. She backed up, there was a minor fender-bender. No injuries. She then told me she notified one of the parking people at the facility how to contact her and asked the person to please pass that along to the owner of the struck car. Paris is a very responsible and a very good driver, she takes her driving seriously. This was unfortunate and it will be handled appropriately."
Oddly enough Paris Hilton and cars don’t get along because there have been many problems in the past with Paris and cars. Last November she was caught on camera when her ex-boyfriend crashed Hilton’s Bentley into a park truck in Las Vegas. And according to the TMZ.com website, Hilton has been cited six times in the year 2006 for various traffic violations.
